Following the resounding success of the IFA`s 17th Global Conference on Ageing in Cape Town, South Africa earlier this month, the IFA`s 18th Global Conference/IFACONF2027 will bring together thought leaders, researchers, policymakers, and advocates from across the world to drive global dialogue and acOon to address the most pressing prioriOes in population ageing, from rights of older people, integrated health and social care, age-friendly environments, technology, to the silver economy.
The largest gerontechnology public education event - Gerontech and Innovation Expo cum Summit (GIES), which attracts over 30,000 international and local visitors annually to explore the frontier knowledge and solutions of gerontechnology, will concurrently host IFACONF2027, welcoming delegates from across the globe.
By co-locating the IFA`s 18th Global Conference on Ageing alongside GIES, delegates will have an unparallel platform to explore how technology, innovation, and policy intersect to improve the lives of older people.
The collaboration will also shine a spotlight on the Greater Bay Area and Asia-Pacific region as hubs of innovation and leadership in healthy ageing.
"We are honoured to partner with the IFA to bring this prestigious event to Hong Kong. This is a unique opportunity, as 2027 marks the 80th anniversary of the HKCSS and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Through this event, we aim to combine local experiences with global perspectives and showcase our work and commitment to advancing innovation in ageing." said Ms. Grace Chan, Chief Executive of HKCSS, International Vice-President of IFA.

Together with HKCSS, we are creating a generative space to spark action and inspire collaboration worldwide.”
