What happened at the Summit of the Future?
The Summit of the Future was a high-level event at the UN in New York where world leaders adopted a Pact of the Future that reiterated commitments to address the complex issues of our time through international cooperation – and harnessing the power of intergenerational solidarity.

The Pact of the Future and its related documents now contain more references to the inclusion of older people in its vision of building a better future for all. But we can still go much further to ensure that current and future generations of older people are included in this vision.

Heres what you can do to build on the momentum:

Catch up on the conversation hosted at the Summit by UN agencies, national governments, and civil society on how we can leverage the full power of intergenerational solidarity

Watch a statement delivered on behalf of the UN Inter-Agency Group on Ageing by the Universal Postal Union on the need to include older people in the Summits vision of our common future

Read a new article jointly published by the UNs Regional Commissions at the Summit on intergenerational solidarity to create a world for all ages Link
