Internationaler Frauentag: Madonna über Altersdiskriminierung

08.03.2015

"It is still the one area where you can totally discriminate against somebody," she says, "and talk shit. Because of their age. Only females, though. Not males. So in that respect we still live in a very sexist society."

Weiter sagt Madonna Rolling Stone: "No one would dare to say a degrading remark about being black or dare to say a degrading remark on Instagram about someone being gay," Madonna continues. "But my age – anybody and everybody would say something degrading to me. And I always think to myself, why is that accepted? What is the difference between that and racism, or any discrimination? They are judging me by my age. I do not understand. I am trying to get my head around it. Because women, generally, when they reach a certain age, have accepted that they aree not allowed to behave a certain way. But I do not follow the rules. I never did, and I am not going to start."

The war against women is waged routinely and globally. Equality of the most basic kind cannot exist when a woman’s life and her words are always worth less than a man’s.
Suzanne Moore am 4.3. in einem Artikel des Guardian unter der Überschrift: "From India and Turkey to Oxford, we live in a perpetual state of war against women.[/b]
